Thank you for sharing

Hello to Everyone:

I am so appreciative of the wonderful support that everyone has shown us. All of the entries on this Blog, and stories that you told us at the Gathering for Steve at Bldg., K, helped to reinforce our memories of the smart, kind and generous man that we knew and loved. Our hearts are heavy, but they are also full with all the love you have shared with us.

Thank you.

Kathy

"Missing My Brother"

Seeing old friends and meeting new ones at Steve's celebration really meant so much to all of us! Your wonderful and kind words will stay in our hearts forever.

Being his big sister, I remember Steve as a kid who ate (practically) nothing but mustard sandwiches (that's right, mustand and bread) and iceburg letter (plain). Oh yeah, and gallons of milk. Wandering through the house, you never knew if you were going to be electrocuted by one of his practical jokes or knocked out by a booby trap when you tried to sneak into his room. He drove my dad nuts - always taking things apart but never putting them back again. He once purchased a See and Say toy (Texas Instruments?) just to figure out how it worked. He was in 10th grade at the time. When I was in college, he tried to help me with my Fortran homework, but my professor told me he, Steve, just couldn't come far enough down to my level.

We may never now why he left us so early, but I am thankful, deeply thankful, for the time he was here, both as a nerdy little brother and as a brillant adult. We love and miss him terribly.

Thank you for sharing your memories of Steve with our family!
